At Higher Form Physical Therapy & Pilates, our mission is to help patients recover fully, move efficiently , and return to work, performance and daily life with confidence. Through individualized 1:1 care the blends evidence-based physical therapy and Pilates, we support long-term health, injury prevention and sustainable performance.
Higher Form Physical Therapy & Pilates is dedicated to restoring balance, elevating movement, and empowering individuals, especially dancers and performing artists, to move with confidence, strength, and freedom. Jeannie Newton, DPT, is the owner of Higher Form Physical Therapy and Pilates. She spent 11 years as a professional dancer before graduating with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Belmont University in 2002, giving her a deep, firsthand understanding of the physical demands of competitive and professional dance.
Jeannie specializes in working with competitive dancers and dance teams, supporting recovery from dance-related injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and vestibular conditions including dizziness and balance challenges. She is Pilates certified and teaches private Pilates sessions, integrating Pilates with evidence-based physical therapy to support a safe and confident return to performance.
Her approach focuses on restoring strength, control, and technique so dancers can return to training and competition feeling resilient, confident, and prepared to perform at their highest level. Sessions at Higher Form help treat and relieve: headaches, TMJ, dizziness/vertigo/BPPV, cervical/neck pain. Including treatment for shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, thoracic spine, lumbar spine, hip, knee, and ankle/foot.
